Language Access Plan
To ensure meaningful access to programs and services, the California Health and Human Services Agency (CalHHS) adopted a Language Access Policy, which requires each CalHHS department, including CSD, to develop a Language Access Plan. This work aims to ensure that CalHHS and its departments and offices provide meaningful access to information, programs, benefits, and services to people with limited English proficiency and that language is not a barrier to accessing vital health and social services.
In developing the CSD Language Access Plan, the department has reviewed its programs and services for the public, how the CSD communicates with members of the public and the people we serve, and how we currently provide information and services in languages other than English.
