Farmworker Resource Center Grant Program

​​In September 2021, Governor Gavin Newsom signed AB 941 (Bennett, Chapter 203) into law, establishing the Farmworker Resource Center Grant Program. The grant program will make funding available to counties interested in developing resource centers and programs designed to address the needs of farmworkers and their families. The Department of Community Services and Development (CSD) is the administering agency for the grant program.​

​​Starting in June 2022, CSD​ will convene a series of meetings for the Farmworker Resource Center Workgroup to discuss the development and implementation of this grant program. 

​​Interested parties can submit a request to be notified of future Workgroup meetings or to receive general information regarding the Farmworker Resource Center ​Grant Program or Workgroup by emailing ​​FarmworkerResourceCenter@csd.ca.gov​.

​​EVENTS​​

CSD has released a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for the Farmworker Resource Center Grant. The deadline to submit applications is December 21, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. Interested counties may view the NOFA and request access to the Bidder's Library of applicable procurement documents by visiting Contracting Opportunities​. ​​​

The fourth Farmworker Resource Center Workgroup meeting was held on November 7, 2022, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.​ via Zoom.​

The third Farmworker Resource Center Workgroup meeting was held on September 15, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The meeting was held at America’s Job Center of California in ​​Oxnard, CA​ and via Zoom.​

​A remote public meeting was held on August 18, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. to review the program framework, evaluation standards, and metrics for the Farmworker Resource Center Grant Prog​ram. 

The second Farmworker Resource Center Workgroup meeting was held on July 29, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. via Zoom.

​​The first workgroup meeting was held on Ju​ne 23, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at T​he California Endowment, Adelante Meeting Room, 1414 K Street, Sacramento, CA 95814. ​
